Hani Hamawi is the Founder and Principal of APCO/ArCon Construction & Management, bringing over 35 years of experience in construction management, civil and environmental engineering, and infrastructure development. He is also a co-founder of APCO/ArCon Construction & Services (est. 2006), where he played a key leadership role in delivering large-scale international infrastructure and building programs. His experience includes overseeing complex projects involving transportation systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, and public facilities under both public and private sector contracts. Hani has led the full lifecycle of projects—from initial planning and organizational setup to execution and delivery—including establishing operations, building technical teams, and implementing systems to support project performance in challenging environments. His background also includes prior ownership in CDPA Architects + Planners (through 2021), providing a strong foundation in design coordination and integration between architecture, engineering, and construction. Hani holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Detroit and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. As a principal-led firm, Hani is directly involved in project oversight, ensuring each project benefits from his experience, leadership, and commitment to quality, cost control, and timely delivery.
